Apart from the condition of the handle and scabbard can anyone see an issue with this WK ?

i love it. It is an absolutely stunning early WKC Heeres dagger.
As it is an early production item, it has two scabbard screws, instead of one, as the later models.

Thank all you for your help.I wasn't even 100% sure it was original because edged weapons is not an area i'm particularly confident in and I bought this back in the 80's.Is it worth giving it a mild clean and if so what with?

Oil the blade to prevent rust but thatís about it... Nice dagger.

I disagree. Do not oil the blade. Keep it bone dry, or coat it with Ren Wax.

Agree, I do the same wirh Ren wax to all my blades.

I agree about the oil. It can stain the blade.
