yep a private person in France may not own armor.
only museums are allowed to have these.

But it depends only to fully armored vehicles. Halftracks (open topped) are still legal to own.

I don't know how long exactly that law was inaugurated but it became prominent the past few years . Probably due to all these terrorist attacks legislation about arms became more strict.

I'm not sure if you can keep a opentopped armoured car or armoured halftrack.....whats the difference to keep a opentopped tankhunter like a Marder????
I thought from the moment its armoured its prohibited.

This Law is being extended into Germany, so I am told by large German collectors.
