Agree. All untouched examples, of this particular maker, I have seen had straps, side panels, loops for straps, back straps and leather round pads for studs sewn using ORANGE thread.

So have to agree that example is messed/repaired.

Very nice pouch in great condition, have had in the collection and seen KKD pouches with white and red/orange thread used for the construction, Nigromontanus, you probably took pictures of them when yo visit me for your book.

Original Factory applied for me
Nothing unusual to see two types of stitching thread for the construction of a mp 44 pouch...
(white and orange stitching thread or white and green stitching thread)

Since leather parts on flap 2 and 3 have also white thread my opinion may have been not correct and white thread may have been used in production of flap 2 and 3 instead of orange. Very nice example which shows that production of flaps was made separately from the rest.

Actualy I tend say that it had been repaired at some point ( you will never know when ). All pouches I have seen were made from one type of thread ( I' am writing about leaher parts as main body parts were usualy sewn from diffrent type of threads then leather parts ).

The maker 'kkd' used one of two types of thread ; white or orange. Seen examples where only white thread was used for all parts and seen example were white thread was used only for main body and orange for leather parts and waist strap.

This one , is the first example, were white and orange thread has been used to sewn the leather parts ( which would be something off for this maker ).

Other thing is the fact that white sewing is sloppy done while orange one is very well done.
