found in normandy last week in a free market
a curious map case in canvas and leather
i never see a similar confection ???

Never seen one either. Not fieldmade and quality of confection is really good, so industrial production I would say. Rally nice IMO. Any stamp to be seen?

Not too much practical IMO. And looks to be never used.

Very cool! Maybe it was intended for use in tropical areas as leather is less durable? or just leather shortages...Great find!
