Refield...nice buckle... a seldom seen variation of the sig rune DJ buckle.... I have a black rune in the same version...I will post in a few hours when I get home from work...chad
I actually think that this design is better and more striking than the "standard" sig rune buckle. I too have exactly the same design with a black enamel paint sig rune, although I know that the buckle exists with a plain nickle rune and also, the possibility of a red enamel paint sig rune.
David...here are the photos I promised....the first is the black rune buckle and the following photos are of a few different variation runes in a 35 mm size..chad
David...nice buckles...this is going to be a good thread for anyone who is interested in DJ buckles...between the two of us, i think we posted about 10-12 variations... chad
Hello,
I have a small version stamped DJ buckle with acute (not "a cute"!) rune that is all brass with no trace of nickel plating at all on front or back. Any special meaning attached to this version?
Does anyone have an example of the early DJ buckle with the rune super-imposed on a swastika flanked by the letters "D" and "J"? I had one with a silver washed brass roundel marked O&C ges. gesch on the back. I have another with a brass roundel with traces of black on it. Unfortunately no digicam.
Regards,
Kevin
