Hejsa Jørn
I think the eye cover is older than the binocular.
/JR is a weimar army unit marking. Infantry Regiment.

The slash / was used by the army appr. 1920-1934. And later by the Luftwaffe.

The small starlike marking almost in the middle indicate police use.

The Hensoldt markings makes me believe this is an early war, or late prewar, army binocular.
It has the prominent worded dienstglas and a full maker name.
If there are waffenamt markings on thebridge, that may narrow the time.
Sloped down wings would be 1935-1037. Straight wings will be 1937-1940. No Waffenamt markings would make me date it 1940-1941.

A nice instrument, and a very nice eye cup cover.
