grave marker plan w/helmets
I have this idea of making 2 grave markers with helmets on them.
this is the first planning stage using 2 of my barbwire posts as fillins for the grave markers which i think ill make out of wood i find that looks distressed.
not going to put this outside will be in my waroom. but this is the start of the project. these will most lickley be the helmets i use, both are weather damaged or in relic ground found condition.
so the graves will be maybe look like a year after the war or after they were buried for awhile.
still alot of stuff to work out.
enjoy the pre plan pics

cool
Well at least they won't get buried in snow in California. Interesting
idea but what about the ozone depleted atmospheres UV rays. It would
be a nice display, certainly different.

I see I can see says the blindman. Oh, then go for it.
That would make a less worrisome display. Congrats on a neat idea.

Glad that their not going outside. I think that that would make a cool-looking display, lots of character in both the M16 and the M15.

ok 1st try
Ok here is my first try at this. used 2 spare wood parts and painted flat white with flat black paint for lettering, my painting letter skills are not good in my opinion. so i need to maybe use a scan of a grave photo and inlarge the writting and make a copy and then cut it out for a stencil. ill try that next.
but for a first try
also i think ill weather it more to look like a outside damage look....
anyway here are the pics.
