Default Question about M43 grenades

I have a M43 grenade with EVY 44 on the handle and fuse, but can't find any marks on the can. Are some cans un-marked, or are the marks so faint I can't see them ?

Thanks !

Is the head repainted? Never seen an unmarked one. Here is one of mine:

Default M43 Stielgranate

Hi,
Can't say for sure, but at Beltring last year Ben Junier had a couple of examples of the latest generation of M43 copy stick grenades - I thought they were stamped evy but I couldn't swear to it ( or at it!).
As well as a photo of your UNmarked part, a couple of the markings you have got could reveal a lot also.
Good luck,
Grossfuss

Some were marked inside the base where the handle screws in,The bottom is sometimes cut out to deactivate which could account for no markings evident on the can.I have an M43 without markings on the top of the can or the base.

Default Question about M43 grenades

Hi to all,

I'm very impressed by the unmarked original Andrew has there !

Like Jens, I never saw an unmarked original before either, thanks for
showing yours ! MOST interesting !

Nevertheless, the Latvian fakes still remain what they are.
Of course the argument of "no maker-mark" doesn't stand anymore as a proof !

Happy collecting - please remain vigilant concerning M43s (fakes are not necessarily all coming from Latvia !!).

Ferdinand

Hello again,
It's all very nice seeing pictures of original grenades, how's about some pics of the grenade that started the thread.
Good hunting,
Grossfuss
