Thanks. Not all entries can be assigned to a single pistol because maker or year are omitted.
The following entries are detailled enough to be assigned to a single pistol and can therefore be researched.
mtdr: ac41 7439 c
jungco: ac43 6549
Rob Johnson: ac42 7070
Rob Johnson: cyq 4259 u
Rob Johnson: byf44 7205 f
I will research these pistols to see if they reside with collectors
Keep you updated and more entries are welcome!
Wow - that would be great! Thanks
I have my pistol permit and have some very close friends who have FFLs so if any of these did manage to survive, are in the US and the owners would want to part with them, well...
I appreciate you checking up on the numbers. That's not why I posted these images, but it's much appreciated.
Best,
Rob

in the soldbook I have a Unique 17, cal 7,65 pistol is mentioned, it is signed from OLt and Btl.-Adj of FeldErsatzBtl 514, Dresden as of 17.08.1943 and it is supplemented in handwriting: Ersatz für selbst beschaffte und im Einsatz verlorene Pistole ( A.H.Bl 40, B/ 697,II.4) ( replacement for a self bought and lost in action pistol)
This pistole - I was already informed by a member of this forum - was manufactured in France in the time of 1941 up to 1944 in very small lots of a total of 30 00 in Hendaye/ France " Manfacture d`Armes Pyrenees M.A.P.F.
Rob: Amazing how many entries you have. Only "cyq 8196 b" can be researched from your latest reports. I will let you know the results in a few days.
regards.
Dennis
Dennis-
That's most of them. Well, what I have scanned in, anyway. Too bad you are looking for only P.38 entries... Had you asked for Lugers or other pistols of various makes and models I could have posted a lot more
Again, I appreciate you checking on the numbers. I'll post more of my P.38 entries in the future. Who knows..... Maybe we'll find a match
Best!
Rob

First one is to a "Nashorn" crew member from schwere-Panzerjäger-Abt.560 who later served in schwere-Ski-Batallion 1, 1.Ski-Jäger-Division (equipped with captured T-34s, Marder IIIs and RSO-02 mit PaK.40) and, after being trained as a Hetzer crew member at Panzer-Jäger-Schüle Milowitz, ended the war as a common foot soldier armed with a Kar98:

Second is to a career Sturmgeschütz crew member who ended the war fighting in a unit equipped with Panthers and Jagdpanthers. Notice the date on the last P.38 entry, 5.May 1945:

Thanks again for your submissions! Unfortunately none of the reported guns can be researched because of missing info
But keep the reports coming!
Thanks,
Dennis
Dennis,
No problem! There are others which I will post once I find the time to scan them in.
Best,
Rob
