After searching for years to find such a KC, I almost gave up home.
And now I got 2
A well, there are worse things to have double and it is always easy to have trading material.
Excellent addition Luud! A very beautiful and early RK KvK! Congrats!
I can't say I've ever seen what I'll call the "rainbow effect" in the second photo in post 3. What do you suppose it is? A chemical reaction of some sort?
Also, the same die flaw appears to be present on the 6 o'clock arm as in your other denazified beauty, but perhaps not as pronounced. Is that correct?
You've managed to land yet another superb piece! Nicely done!

Hi Guy's, Since only Deschler, S&L, & Zimmermann produced these during the war, I assume S&L made this one since it was Denazified...Correct ? I wonder why the die was just not Denazified ? I would think it would make for a better produced piece ? Tom

Hi Luud!
Well, thats a beauty for sure, i remember the other one you got, and this one appears to be prety much the same??
As you said, it certainly appears to have been de-nazified by S&L, and then had the finish applied, we can clearly see the silver finish over the former swastika area is the same as the rest of the piece!!
Mike spotted the same die flaw too running along the bottom arm, this piece IMO should be the earliest 57 version that S&L produced, before switching to the new "true" 57 die, without swastika??
The overall quality of the finishing and burnishing is very high, a real feeling of quality about it!
It is nice to have a spare to trade, but i have a feeling you wont be parting with either of these great KVK RK's anytime soon
Thanks for showing your latest treasure!!!!!
Cheers!!!!!!!!

I really have no idea what cause that discolouring.
I know a few of my silver coins that are in a pile have the same discolouring while the ones on top are black.
So I guess it is silver patina caused while not fulle exposed to air.
But I can alsotalk a lot of nonsence now
You are right about the flaw.
This one seems the be struck earlier from the wartime die as the other.

I really have no idea what you mean with the stippling
But it is mostly "old" action. My collection is only crimping the last 2 years.
Pffff.....Where are the good old days (and it isn't that long ago)?

I think too, that the chance is very high, that the swastika was removed.

That one is superiour to the KC with swords that I already posted.
I made some quick shots of this KC compared to the other KC and the KC without swords. Oké...I know...I am showing off right now.
But that KC is just so beautifull finished with frosting like the wartime cross and burnished highlights on every small leaf, loop and more.
(although hard to see on these pictures).
