can you please tell me if this is an original M40 helmet?

I am not a helmet guy but it dont looks good to me.

The shell is not even German. Looks post war Spanish or some other close by country that adopted the style of helmet. Decals are horrid repros, along with bad paint. Be careful out there, it's a minefield.
