Hi Guys , I was offered this skull in the flea market by a private seller( know the guy) this morning. I think it is bad
it appears cast to me. I checked out a couple on the site and they seem too close for my comfort. I Took the photos with my i phone and are not that great.

I think it has a cast look to me. Its seems made of a zinc type material and is slightly heavy. I just want to make sure as the price if real was a bargain

Sorry for the bad photos, once I posted a GB badge that was knocked down as a fake but when I posted better photos it got the thumbs up.

These are the only pics I took. They looked good on the phone but now pretty crappy on the screen. Hey I'm old!!!!!

I believe its a copy, and that originals only came in aluminum...

Thanks. It seemed heavy to me to be aluminum and the finish looked zincy. When I was searching I only saw aluminum ones posted, but wasn't sure if that was a rule.

Originals most certainly did exist in ZINC , but may be just about as rare as aluminum . It is the cupal version of which no original has been found as far as I know .
Notice the silver finish , that reproductions seem to lack ..

It came in both aluminum and zinc. I'll post a zinc example from my collection later this evening.

Reverse .
Some reproductions have surfaced in a zinc-like material , originals are VERY hard to find . I have always been quite careful with these , and this one took me years of negotiating ..

Original in alu - you can probably find more pics of these online than of the zinc version , but both are quite scarce .

Sorry guys, but I was asked by the owner to post these additional better pictures of the skull that started the thread.

If any opinion changes or the same please let me know so I can pass it on.

Thanks for the education on these.
