I think you guys are missing the plot ! I knew they were bad, its so obvious !! the runes are the wrong way around !!!!!

Sorry, missed it  For me it is the shape and execution that makes them bad and not how the "rzm" tag is positioned.

Fakes and oh so wrong. These tabs are an attempt to be mirror images Waffen-SS runes worn for a short time. They are not going in the wrong direction. The erstwhile creator of these "gems" forgot, or did not know that; they were only to be worn by officers. Here are two images of both style mirror runes being worn. Reference: Angolia's Cloth insignia of the SS, 2nd Edition, 1989, Page 276.

Well blow me over !! I never knew that such things existed, showing my lack of experience here but ah well, we live and learn !
The guy that was selling them knows nothing of TR militaria and was given them, so the story goes , by a British vet who found them in a warehouse in Germany in late 45
