Default Todays Police Finds

Picked these up today. Shoulder boards must be different makers. A cap eagle also looks to be a good one.

The Army HV cypher does not belong on the Gendarmerie board.

Yeah that's Heeres Verwaltung (HV) = Army Administration (WH)...
So the cypher needs to come off that police shoulderboard =mis-match!
No big deal its all good insignia!

You mean different makers 'cause they've the glossy outer cord vs. the matt one? If so, it's different periods, for subdued outer cord for Gendarmerie NCO shoulder boards was introduced at a later date.
The cap eagle (and bullseye) insignia's unquestionably original.
As stated, the HV cypher has got nothing to do with the Gendarmerie shoulder boards, it stands for Army Administration. IMO it doens't detract. Can't understand why they ornamented the shoulder board that way ... no "Gendarmerie NCO attached to Army Administration" theory should be aired.
