Default Saxony - Military Order of St.Henry

Hello,

We are quite sure this is a bad one, but want to have it confirmed before it goes in the fake bin.

Thank you

Horrible looking. You would think that at the end of the war every man capable of doing quality enamel work commited suicide or something.

Now that made me laugh, but the really sad part is it appears that the statement could be somewhat accurate

Agree with the others, it's a repro.

Can we see the rest of the medal bar front and back please?

Thanks
Pierce

On question raises for me - is it a fake, or is it a post-WW2 era wearers' copy?

Either way it is ugly. At what point in time do we stop calling things wearer's copies? I guess for sure anything made after the last WW1 vet died.

Hehe, they stopped as a favor to us! At least Rothe-Wien made high end work until the -70's but it's still not as good as their pre WWII stuff. Guess it's too expensive these days and the techniques are not taught anymore which is sad.

If the bar is period and not a modern put together i would call it a wearers copy.

But someone could have just swapped out the nice original for a fake even if the bar is period made.
