Default Parade bayonet Kar-98 rifle.

Hi all:

For a few years ago, I have in this collection bayonet, which as you can see this very well preserved.

At the time, try to find out about it but I have learned very little about it, and I would like to know more information such as date of manufacture, correct name and all those data to discover. If any of you is kind enough to tell me or at least guide me about it, I'll be eternally grateful.

Here I show some pictures of it, if necessary, but, do not hesitate to ask them. Thank you very much in advance:

I forgot to mention that does not have any type of serial number or anything, just the marking of the manufacturer.

Greetings to all

Germany parade bayonet, with lacquered leather frog, used by TR. German army.
It is not used by the police.
Soldiers would normally buy these type bayonet at your own expense.
Mark bayonet (Pack) is very popular, among the collectors.

I sincerely respect

In German it´s called "Extra Seitengewehr". It´s a dress bayonet (parade bayonet), which has been worn together with the dress uniform. It hasn´t been used as a fighting knife, but for display purposes only. There have been short and long dress bayonets. Such dress bayonets have been produced during WW1, Weimar period and WW2. Thus it´s not so easy to allocate yours to a certain period. I´ve attached a period WW2 photo of a dress bayonet in wear.

Thank you all for your fast answers and photographic contributions.

When purchasing a bayonet, I did a little research, which more or less everything you say me, you find out there. I contacted another good collector of bayonets, but his specialty is the bayonet fighter, not the parade. All you could tell me that I had not learned already is that possibly your date of manufacture was around 1935, and ta it is one of the first manufacturing run. Would this be so? or is very difficult to give a date as the date of manufacture?.

Best regards.
