Thanks for any comments!

Thanks Andy!

Well, hopefully this is how they came before assembling - otherwise somebody would have ruined an eagle order

Kev, no big deal. These eagles have been attached to a cross, but IMO not from Godet.

cheers

Hi Peter,

thanks for your reply ... anyways, I'd rather have had an complete eagle order as add-on to my last buy instead of just the eagles ... no matter if Godet or another supplier ...

Well, maybe someone needs some spareparts, let's see.

How large are the eagles , as it may help determine if they are originals, or not, and if so which grade it is from. I doubt they would be useful to anyone , as i have never found any eagle orders with the eagles cut off, and even if you did, they could not be reattached without destroying the enamel of the maltese cross anyway. Did the guy who sold them to you have any idea where they were from?

Hi,

the dimensions of these eagles are:

High: 17mm
Wide: 11mm
Thick: 3mm

and sorry, the person who I got these from didn't know any further details, her purchased them from a vet's familiy as a part of a big lot.

Do these measurements help to determine further details?

Thanks!

These eagles cant be correct, I have never seen an example with this bad details and strange design....

See the fake cross in post #6
http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...Eagle+orderand the swastica look strange.

When I compare the crosses it looks like the lower part of the swastika arm have the same flaw

So is there a conclusion about the originality of these eagles?

I'd appreciate some feedback so that I don't offer something "wrong" on eStand ...

Kev, Godet was to my knowledge the only producer of this decoration and these eagles do not resemble a textbook Godet. You do the math.

cheers
