FLL IAB up for vetting
Hello,
what are your thoughts about this IAB, the plating looks strange to me....

Hi
The badge looks original to me, but your pics are not very helpful.
FLL used a variety of bronze finishes, but with your pics it is difficult to see the colouring as it really is imo.
Angled shots of the catch and hinge would be useful.
You can buy a scanner for the fraction of a single badge. I know some guys prefer photos, but at least all would be in focus, and close to how it really looks.
regards
Graeme

Hi Alex,
I can only agree with Graeme and Chuck, a fine original FLL. Typical sloppy soldering for the hardware, very common with FLL badges. Yours looks to have some very nice finish remaining as well.

Nice pics Alex, certainly confirms that its a bronze grade. These FLLs are hard to finish in bronze, and yours is one of the mintiest ones I have ever seen. Very nice addition.

Thanks guys.....because it is minty and the plating is almost 100% present, I was a little concerned about it BUT luckily I was wrong and probably too paranoid
Thanks again
Alex

Hi Alex
I think these days it is sensible to always question a really minty badge. With minty examples you hope to see a textbook finish that has been seen on known originals.
Your first pics looked a little over exposed and it was difficult to see the finish imo.
The finish on your badge looks similar to one in my collection
cheers
Graeme
