Default Ostvolker packets thread

Wanted to make this thread for a long time, seems like we did not pay enough attention to this decoration at packet forum
So, the basic idea is to gather all known variations in one thread, and discuss them. I'll start showing/commenting, please join me wherever possible!
P.S. Some pictures I will place in this thread are belonging to their respected owners. If any of them do not like it--pls contact me and I'll delete the image in question. Do apologize in advance!
Ok. I'll start from some unquestionable examples. The one showed below has been seen in groups and can be oftenly met with flat-reversed medals.

Souval. These are original for sure, the only problem is when they were made..we can't exclude the post-war production when it comes to this company. However, beautiful and desirable packet!

That's where my list of 100% original packets ends There are few others we can see from time to time, I'd be glad to hear your comments/stories about them (Did you ever met them in groups etc). These can be seen both left-folded...

Hi John,
Can you make bigger scans of both obverse and reverse, and a close up of designation mark? We need to ckeck this one closely for sure...

Hi Serg.I've used my camera this time,I've had it since 1979,the medal has been checked out on here, the packet did not match but I kept it just in case a medal turned up,as I said there are no markings on the reverse and if its not right it can join the repro section.John

Hello John,

I actually like your packet and from what I can see would deduce it as likely original.

The designation would conform to the period style and nothing would indicate any untoward potential, in my opinion.

The packet when viewed from the initial pictures did look a little odd, and the opening flap does look more''isosceles'' than perhaps a more conventional ''equilateral'' triangle shape; as far as tolerances and shape definition go.

And the fold at the bottom of the packet would also to my mind, be acceptable for what we know and perhaps deem as period packets, too.

Kind regards,

Marcus

Hi,

very interesting thread. I bought a couple of Ostvölker-awards-sets here in WAF some time ago. Among them were 3 sets with the 'white' paper bags and one with Keller and one with Souval marked paper bag. All awards (second class, silver and bronze) were wrapped in the original thin brown paper and had an extra ribbon beside. Later I got another second class in gold also in the white paper bag. All awards in those white bags were marked 100 in the ring. So I guess that these unmarked paper bags are the early version from Wächtler & Lange. The bag with the L/55 (LDO code for Wächtler & Lange) should be later.

Hi Walle,
can you post those two paper bags(Keller and Souval) along with medals (specially reverse side) ? Long time I try to figure out, who are two unknown makers for Ostvolker awards? One with flat reverse, without the rope on front and second with different (dipper) cupped on a rear side. Keller, Souval or Godet & Co. (as a designer of this award)....?
