It looks like a ground dug mask which has been fixed with original parts from another mask..
From the pics the faceflap looks OK, but I think it's from a different mask.
Straps look OK.
Head strap with hook is attached the wrong way and it's a early type.
There's a metal band around the end of the hose holding the clamp, I've only seen that on early green masks, so I think that this mask is a mix of early parts on a late ground dug mask.
Bottom line, probably all original stuff, but not worth the price of a untouched example.

Thanks you Jos!!!
What do you think this mask is worth if all parts are pre war?
Best regards,
Lukas

Now that's a good question .., it's very difficult to rate a mask in this configuration.
It looks like how it should look, but it's a mix of early and late, early parts were a bit different in quality etc and the other way around.
In fact they're all parts, we've the late war black mask and hose in ground dug reasonable condition and we've the early straps, headstrap, faceflap and spring clamp.
It's a restored mask, so we've to think in parts rather than a complete item IMO.
Black ground dug masks without parts and only a hose could be found for about 100 upto 250 euro ..
The parts from the earlier green mask are in good condition and when offered to me when I needed them badly I would pay ... hmm, .. clamp 150, straps 200/250, faceflap .... 75/100, head strap 25/50.
.. but that's just my opinion..
The mask will display nice, all parts seem original, but it's just a mix.., in the light of that I would offer a price in the range of 750 /900 euro... maybe.
P.S.
After a 2nd look I've noticed that the faceflap is a bigger size than the mask, masks came in a couple of sizes, think 3, the flaps should be in line with the top of the mask, but they're lower.
To me, that would drop the price a little bit more ..
Jos.

The 10-6701 was a two strap mask. This example was restored to a 10-67 configuration.

Yes, your right, good eye, was too much focused on the parts, #4 shows the sanded spots where the rubber loops were attached.
So, it's a fighter mask in bomber configuration.
Makes it all worse.

Hi,
I found a 10/86 mask to buy.
Unfortunately without straps and faceflap.
It's only the mask, the tube and the clamp.
Do you have a idea where I can find original or repro parts for it?
Best regards,
Lukas

10-86 mask, think these came as bomber and fighter type ..
Chances are very low to find original parts ..
The original straps are impossible to find ..
All repro's are made from gasmask parts .., reproduction fighter straps were made though ..
Sometimes Ebay has some fake straps, mostly these aren't very accurate.
I'm afraid that if you like to have straps and a face flap, you've to make them ..

I thought that, thanks!
I don't find very much about this type.
More informations would be useful.
But that one I could buy is the bomber version!
It's pretty much the same condition as here shown (without straps) and it would be 220€. http://www.flightgear.ch/LW%20LKpS%2...kps_101_II.htm
Do you think the price is ok?
Best regards,
Lukas

The 10-86 did exist, unknown to many, but it was not a error on the mask, like the people say on that site.
If in reasonable condition the price might be not that bad, I think ..
If you've the time, the patience and the right material you can turn it in a nice displayable mask IMO.
The face flap will be the main problem, first try to make a paper model, the part of the chin is tricky, it's cup shape, so the part that is sewn together is not straight cut, but part of a circle.
When glued into the mask you constantly have to press mask and leather together, till the glue is strong enough to hold both.
The early masks had a chamois leather face flap, which is very supple and soft, later ones had thin pig skin, less soft and less supple, but still very flexible.
If you don't have the D-rings and the rectangle parts of the straps, you could make them from a thin plate of aluminum, it all can be done, depends of how good you want to restore a mask..

Jos, is the 10-86 a early or later type?
I think I had luck. I found a person which restores masks.
I would get straps and a face flap for cheap money.
