Default Cased 1 class KVK

hey guys

I got this cased 1 cl. KVK ( bended form ) directly from the famely of the orig. owner, the orig owner which i had a plesure too meet just before he died in 1999 in a old age but his famaly is my dear friends trough meny years now, and sometimes i get a present thoe the know my passion i got this kvk along whit his DKIG and some other medals but i do belive the case is his original case from the 2 ww. Well he didnt use his medals much bec. they show the signs of not been used as you proberly can see too. However what borthers me is his DKIG needle ( pic ) whit the marks of ODK, do any of you guys know what organisation we are talking about? and did the veterans had a 57 organisation just for DKIG owners? well it raise a few questions in my head maybee you guys can "fill in the blanks" you are most welcome to comment.

Hello Carsten,

a very nice quality KVK from the early periode of 57er version directly from the recipient
The case (Halbetui) without pin looks like a late war time to me.

The DK would be interesting too

I have never heard about a veteran organisation with only DK holders?
In my opinion only a symbol on their logo, but I do not know.

Matthias.

Hi Carsten!!
Thats a very nice, early KVK1, and attributed too!!
The halbetui is a latewar type, but some of these cases were leftover from the war, and used in the early 57 production period, so it could be the case his wartime KVK1 was awarded in, or he could have bought it with his replacement 57er??
The stickpin looks nice, but have'nt heard of an organisation for DK holders, maybe someone else has????

thx to Mathias and nigel

Thanks for your comments and yes its pretty rare to get something directly from recipents in these days. The case might be leftovers from 2ww used to house the 57 models thoe they was short on materiel after the war so that make sense. The needle is still a mysterie and hopefully somebody recognice the needle for what it is by time, cant get it out of my freaky head, well another mysterie is that i got his original SA sportsabzeichen too but the famely tells me that he never joined the SA or the party for that matter but it strikes me that it have no numbers so my question is did the Heer or wehrmacht had the orpotunity to achive the SA sportsabz too like the SA whit numbers? so my suspecius is maybee the WHM whitout numbers and the SA whit numbers, well the famely dont know why it turned up well ill set it here for further comments. The famely tells me that the medals both war and the 57 models of any kind was compleetly in the DDR timeperiod which brings me to a understanding why they are unused, well luckey me

Jo arthur i wont cheet you on the DKIG request of yours, well here it is whit the SA abz

Hi Carsten,

the DKiG looks very nice, an early piece too!

Till 1935 it was only possible to get the SA Sportabzeichen as a SA member,
after than, it was possible to get it as a non member, but only together with
a SA validator.
Because of the inscription "Eigentum der obersten SA.–Führung" of your
SA-Wehrabzeichen it should be a later piece after ~1939.

Hi Carsten!!
I dont know much about SA badges, so i can't comment on that, but the DKiG is a nice S&L that dates to the same period as the KVK1, which makes sense if he bought them at the same time!!
Also, i did'nt notice yesterday, that the KVK is vaulted!!! Very nice, and rarer too!!!

thx guys for all kind words and yes he might had a SA validator for this Sportsabz after 1935 and as you say its a late abz so it make sense too so one mysteri less still the ODK stikpin well collecting is a patience job, hopefully somebody recognice the stikpin whit time, by the way i did compare his original DKIG whit the 57 model and it comes from the same maker S&L so both orig and 57 matches even the document/urkunde for his DKIG is outstanding and rare.

thx and cheers guys
