I picked this up some time ago from an estate sale. I am familiar with standard RVN Wound Medal that had the Vietnamese national colors on a short ribbon, but I had never seen one mounted on a 16 inch black neck ribbon.
Anyone know it's purpose?
My first thought was it was for someone killed, but my references I have state that the wound medals are the same whether wounded or killed in action. Appreciate the help.
