I have never seen a set like this. Is the "Pol." Polizei?

Hi Willi,
an exceptional Hensoldt rig!!!!! I believe it is a police service issue. Hensoldt appeared to have secured most of the pre war Police market.

Excellent piece Willi. Definitely polizei issue. They used 6x30 and 10x50 too. I have a set of both, though my 6x30 case is dated 1938. Here is the other.

Default Pol.

Notice how the leather case has a green tint. Early Hensoldt's many times have a green case. I think the black dye did not take has turned green over time.

Intersting, but I think you're having an optical delusion. The black dye is worn and brown/natural finish is underneath.
