Greetings : I just picked this up at a garage sale and have no idea what it is other than it is waffenampt. Could anyone please enlighten me as to what it says on the box and what the gadget is itself. My guess is it is a levelling device of somekind perhaps used on a surveyors transit or maybe a mortar or ???????.Please
