Michael,
you have some quality items in your collection, well done. I'm surprised that you didn't snap up one of the GJ caps offered on the e-stand recently, they were quite nice.
I've just moved into my first home (an apartment) and now have a collecting/computer room, so once I have everthing the way that I want it I'll take some photos to share.

Take care

Mark

when I was a kid.. back in good old comunism.. - LEGO was like a Holy Grail of toys....
when I grew up.. I decided I need to get some of these biggest TECHNIC sets.. - and here we go
i have some of these - I dont have a time to play with them anymore.. - but if I will ever have kids - LEGO will be the only toy they will see - its a very smart and stimulating toy, I think

thanks Chris !!

Hi Guys !!!

I went to Pierre One Imports in my town to get some kitchen stuff... - wine glasses.. wine racks.. **** like that :d

and this is what I have found: a nice glass head for $15 - displays really well with helmets - only problem is size - from liner 57-58 and up.

but if You need some for Your hats or helmets - $15....

well.. Wish i could change the name of this thread... but I guess it has to stay with NEW CABINET in the header

As some of Youy Guys propably knows I dont collect anymore as I used to... and 95% of my stuff is sold...

So how about I will post pictures of these few Items that I decided to keep, and few items that are my family's artifacts...

lets start with a Rogatywka hat worn by my Great Grandfather who served with 10 P.P. (Infantry Regiment) from Lowicz. We was a master sergeant with function of a master gunsmith and served in Polish Army from 1919 to 1939.

Hat was found by me in the attic of my grandparents house in the late 80's it is quite unfortunate that I found it when i was like 12 yrs old - as I used a cleaning methods of a 12yr old - soap and water
I also handstiched all loose elements :d
Well it could be worse - at least I still have this hat (I sold it once !!! then I bought it back years later... ufff )

chin strap is post war 50's. eagle is a repro. I will complete this hat overtime when I have some more time and I will propably remove my old stiching

Very cool! Love that Polish visor. And it's even better that you have a photo of your Grandfather wearing it.

Mike,
Such pieces are far more worth then tons of other militaria. It honours you to take care of your grandfathers cap and to keep your family-history alive.

All the best mate

Jan
