Well 2 things about his posting is that the photos are excellent and his disclosure on the controversy is about as above board as anything that I have seen for sale.

I don't personally know about what he states of some of these turning up in the late 60s.....if that could be proven it would for me prove that these were WWII as there is no way that I would believe that these were faked then to this level of detail. I also know that most if not all of the later batch that turned up in 80/81 had original buttons as I looked carefully at the button thread and it was worn, stressed and had been in place a long time. It was also like the thread used in the smock in color and content...

i'm pretty sure that some collectors in Europe and in North America know far more about those smocks, and if they are fakes someone probably know who made them...
