Default Upcoming Movie - "Memorial Day"

Just wanted to give a heads-up on an upcoming movie titled "Memorial Day". It stars James Cromwell, his son John, and Jonathan Bennett. Deals with a WWII 82nd Airborne veteran and his grandson Kyle (Iraq war veteran) who both face circumstances during combat that they have to live with during and after the events. Features WWII flashbacks as well as Iraq scenes. Supported by the U.S. DoD in filming. WWII scenes include flashbacks to Holland 1944, Ardennes 1944, and Spring 1945 utilizing WWII re-enactors and original vehicles, planes (P-51 and P-38), and a real 1st Model FG42 (firing blanks, of course). References may be found here:

• Filmed entirely in Minnesota
• Utilized Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota WWII Re-enactors and MN Army National Guard (Red Bulls) as extras and for some speaking parts.
• Scheduled for release – limited theater run in May 2012. Available on DVD/Blu-ray at WalMart, Target, Best Buy on May 29, 2012

If you are a veteran or have friends or family who have seen combat it is well worth your while to take a look. It's also worth a look just to see the low-level P-38 strafing/bomb run...

I watched this movie last evening, via a Redbox rental, and I enjoyed it very much.
Very well done, despite likely being a low-budget film. WWII uniforms & equipment looked pretty good; I'm guessing some reenactors were used.
I highly recommend it.
