Default Die Ritterkreuzträger der Deutschen Wehrmacht 1939-1945

Just picked up this series
Die Ritterkreuzträger der Deutschen Wehrmacht 1939-1945 by Thomas/Wegmann

When they first came out they were beyond what I could afford and had often seen single volumes offered here and there. I could not pass up on the opportunity when a book dealer put these up for auction. I believe that they are the complete set at 16 volumes, a huge undertaking ,too bad they did not complete it.

I had never had one in my hands and am staggered by the quality and detail of the work. I have been collecting autographs of Knights Cross recipients for years and have most of the reference material out there but nothing holds a candle to this set

Could you post few pictures of pages, so we can see how the inside looks like?

You're missing one: Teil XI: Pioniertruppe Band 1: A-K

The series stalled for a number of years but news ones are now being released. Let's hope they continue. One of the best series out there.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the info. Do I understand correctly that the set currently sits at 19 Vols?

Great news that they are continuing the project. Any info on what is next release dates and seller?

Cheers
Bill

I believe it is 19 volumes so far, but I stand to be corrected.

The series languished for many years. The publisher, Biblio Verlag, was very slack, releasing a book every few years, but recently, the prolific German author/publisher Veit Scherzer seems to have taken over the reins. I'm hoping he continues to release volumes at a quicker rate.

No idea on release dates. The Biblio home page hasn't been updated since 2005! I only found out about a new volume once it's released. I buy all my volumes from Bob Ruman at "Articles of War" (http://www.articlesofwar.com/) in New Mexico. I understand it's difficult to buy copies directly from the German publisher, so I wait for Bob to do all the hard work!

All the best,
Jason
