Hi, I just got this simple, but special medal bar from a fellow WAF member 5ribbonbar, whom I thank him in advance, its a simple kyffhauser medal and a Prussian 67 Rgt 50th. What makes it special is that my wife's grandfather served as a pionier on Magdeburgisches Pionier-Batl. Nr.4.The Prussian Inf. Reg. 67 medal is really cool. I cannot find much about it, but I did see some German web references to it. Has the Imperial Eagle shield on the upper middle with the raised wording of ' 4. MAGDE-BURGISCHES INFANTERIE REGIMENT no. 67 1860 - 1910 '. The outer rim has an oak leaf laurel theme all the way around.
The medal has a lug mounting piece integrated at the top with an attachment hole so it can be mounted...on this bar it is also tied down with rayon thread so it is hard to lift the medal up to high. Thus the picture of the back side is not great. It has fenced monument I assume is for the 67 regiment. The are embossed trees and at the top of the monument there is an large cross. The years 1866 and 1870-71 are present noting the two major Prussian wars against Austria and France. Obviously this regiment was involved (
sic 5ribbonbar description). Hope you like it and as always your comments are always welcomed.
Thank you
