no idea how many but the oones i have seen in the past were solid brass not the hollow stamped like this one, though i believe they were the same maker...nice piece

It has been brought forward by David Littlejohn that this is infact an award of the HJ for those who took part in the Putch. This would give rise to the badge in solid form which very often was produced to replace the early badge. The information is in an article in Military Adviser. My thoughts are that this is the locical view of this EXTREMLY RARE badge.
