Default ww2 adrian helmet question

guys
i just saw an adrian helmet type m26 without the two tiny hole's in front of the helmet where you attach the emblem.
the helmet is painted in black and was used after the war by a dutch firm.
i personally believed that every adrian helmet, especially the ww2 type's have those little hole's for an emblem.
am i right or is this possible?
here are a few pic's:
helmet1
helmet2
helmet3

Are you sure the two holes arent there? Its hard to see. This helmet looks very strange on the front view, the edges are very flat; but seing the inside, it does look like a real adrian...

hi JL

the helmet is 100% original and the flat edges are not a problem.
my two belgian m26 type helmet are with flat edges.
there are no hole's in the front according the owner (it's not mine).
i just recently heard that the m15 adrian exported to Italy are without hole's,also some russian m15 adrians as well.
and according an "expert" is the m26 adrian helmet export pattern to spain also without hole's.
that's al i know so far but i want to clear this out due interest.

thanks in advance,glenn

Adrians were made for a long time, for several countrys, and there were surely many special variants. Your helmets prooves that there was a model made without the holes. Maybe a police force, or company was alowed to copy the adrian, making it without holes???
Anyways, good luck finding facts about your question.

Looking at the profile, no doubt for me it's a "Belgian made" Adrian helmet ; surely a variant for the police, gendarmerie or another belgian administration...

you are right about the style,it looks belgian and the black color indicates that this could be a "rijkswacht" police helmet.
but i never saw a belgian adrian without the hole's.
not in ww1,ww2 or post war...
