EK II from Berchtesgaden
Picked this up last summer at a little antique shop in Berchtesgaden.
I really like the looks of it and thought I'd share. Hope you enjoy.

In case you're not sure where that last shot was taken....
I had to throw all the tourists off the mountain to get this picture.
Wasn't keen on their choice of clothing. Bright stripes of yellow, red, green, blue and white.
They were ruining my photo!

Tim,
Great photos.
From the Obersalzburg did you continue walking up the path? There's a magnificent tall carved wooden cross a few hundred meters up from the tea room-cafe.
Unfortunately, when I last was there with my wife(1995) fog made it impossible to admire the view.
Bought some great pewter pieces across the town stream and up the hill.
Thanks for sharing this.

Stationed in Germany (Wurzberg) in the early 1970-'71. Seen all the good German sights. Bt far Berchtesgaden was the greatest even when I was a kid and my dad used to talk about it.
Love to attached some .jpg images but haven't figuared that one out yet?

Absolutely incredible guys. Since this thread is a few years old, are there any new updates on construction, deconstruction, or other updated information on the area and the people? New adventures?

English Magazine Review
The English Magazine 'Homes & Gardens' in November 1938 published a review of 'Hitlers Mountain Home'....... "There is nothing pretentious about the Führer's little estate. It is one that any merchant of Munich or Nuremberg might possess in these lovely hills."
Scroll down on this website to see it... it makes for fascinating reading!

Best wishes, Paul.
