it appears to have started life as a grey green home front helmet, then has a black ARP/Warden overpaint and then some green and brown paint on top. Perhaps he transferred from ARP to home guard.

The other nations have different acceptance marks and inspectors marks, so at least British used if not made. Also LTD sounds British, Aussie stuff is usually PTY and Indian stuff has circular...

The Brits are of course the 17/21st Lancers and probably an officer with with the peaked SD cap, shirt order and gloves though senior NCO grade warrant officers could also wear this type of cap
