I surmise EREL by the vent . . . but does it have the sattelform shape? By that angle, it makes me think it is somewhere between sattel and teller.

Talking All the anxieties and "tudes" seem to come out when these things are revealed . . .

I kind of agree on that for any white tunic of Officer level. Made "Privately", anything is certainly possible - within limits, of course. I've come to the conclusion that some of these fella's...

As far as the fabric body goes, I'm with Kurt - it looks a lot like the wool in one of my caps that I am perfectly comfortable with. I kind of like the band cloth - but can't recall seeing piping...

Well, we have to remember it is in Russia. My experience in many places East of Germany seems to be that communities really don't want to talk about what was there before - let alone talk about it....
