Just be careful if you are placing webbed frogs on 'new' bayonets. The eyelet hole sewing can be brittle and can be broken if forced onto the bayonet's scabbard keeper. I've seen too many with broken...

The really early ones are of a thinner, oilskin type material. They then went to the thicker standard cotton which was much harder wearing.
