When I worked in the Giessen Military Community from 1980-84, I supported the US Army units at Friedberg. Ray Barracks was a US Army base in Friedberg where Elvis Presley was stationed...

Not collar tab.....it’s a cuff tab which goes on the sleeve cuffs of a waffenrock. A button would go thru the hole held in place by a cloth piece. Appears to be panzer-pink.

I recently attended a local flea market and found this sitting on a table....Large mess hall Lion-head soup tureen with an Heer Eagle made by the Porcelain manufacturer "Rosenthal 1940"....

I think the pips are military type...period WWI?? But why would military pips be on a frat cap? I could just remove the pips but....the sun fading of the silk shows a shade...they’ve been there...

I ran into this cap...and I believe it's a "frat" cap...but what got my attention were the gold pips..... The piping is a metal silver and the red & white (Austrian??)….but the gold...

I could be "way out there" in my thinking....but other countries produced messhall dinner ware...like Poland, Hungary, and Czech......and like I said...I've never seen these types of dinner ware...

They sure do have the age and appear period...I believe that they are non-German made by another allied/occupied country.
