Correct, although some collectors would argue that it is not technically a first pattern, since all the very earliest Denisons had hand-painted camouflage. This is a printed first pattern Denison....

Exactly. Feathers were the only Denison manufacturer to make their 1st pattern smocks with two panels instead of one.


A rare war-time variant, but the full front zip is a post-war modification...

Hi,
This tag is sewn to the strap of my FJ gas mask bag. I would love to find out about the Kanonier named on it. Can anyone here help me ? I am guessing he was a casualty .

The shell is CKL. The factory had stopped adding LW decals by that time (presumably because of a higher directive ) so it seems odd that they should produce a helmet with an Heer decal.
