This is actually a dress bayonet. I should think it's quite rare especially since it's inscribed with Russia - Christmas 1917 (so, after the revolution) and dedicated by the Officer Corps of MWK 243...

Thank you. That's what I read too. But, so far, I haven't been able to find a Hauptmann Dotten listed anywhere. He would likely have been in either Jasta 7 or Marine Jagdgeschwader during WWI.
