The fact that the spike, the dagger, the flag tassels, and the pole top are all still there and haven't broken off make it more desirable in my opinion. I rarely see these without something broken...

I'm sure the exact reason is on luger forums or in one of Still's book or the like. One thing is for sure, the 2 stamps are indicators that 2 people looked over the gun.

Personally, I like it. Its in fantastic shape (red flag?). Eagle, globe, scepter details look good. Stitching looks good to me. I couldnt tell you if its Imperial or Third reich though.
