scope have 4 screw saddle and placement of markings on scope tube puts it serial range of 31,000-34,000 so scope is pre WWII and dates roughly 1935/36 with a give or take a year.

many rail rifle scope are pre war. the serial makes this a Post WWII scope. probably 1948 is when roughly the factory started up again producing scopes.

yes collectable but not for the sniper crowd. this is not a 300 scope with the lens damage way over priced. parts are almost impossible to find. with damage maybe 75.00 max

Yeah i agree, almost all the rifles are suspect in the book and doubt 1 is even a real sniper but the pics are fantastic and well worth the price of the book.
