With our Backs to Berlin

Tony Le Tissier's book, With Our Backs to Berlin was a great read. This collection of accounts by participants is very poignant.

A nice original dagger. It does have issues, looks like a scabbard screw is missing as is the belt loop clip, but otherwise in nice enough condition. I would not hesitate if the price is right.

Just watched this video. I am not a dagger collector, so I will not speculate on the authenticity of either dagger. However, the Rohm dagger is a 1933 style dagger that belonged to Hitler's driver...

As soon as I twisted the pommel and discovered how loose it was, I remembered...

My Very Dark Handle Army Dagger

I have had this WKC Army Dagger since the summer of 1972. I haven't actively collected WW2 German daggers for decades but this one has always intrigued me so I have held on to it all these years. The...

Opinions please on this 18 year medal

I would appreciate opinions on this medal. Most I have seen have a thicker suspension, but I just don't know enough to tell if this is real or post war. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Thanks for posting the picture side-by-side and pointing out problems. This is scary with fakes that are so good at first glance.

Opinions on this Blood Order

I bought a fake Blood Order many years ago and later got rid of it. Now I have a chance at this medal and I don't want to repeat my mistake. How does it look? Fake or real.

Thanks for your advice. I strongly suspected they were fakes. The one on the left looks too crisp and sharp and the date numbers look wrong. The one on the right I had never seen one painted green...

2 Demjansk Shields for Review

These two shields are here for your thoughts and review. The one with the green finish is missing a prong that was soldered near the top of the eagle. I am skeptical of both, but don't know enough...

What is the History behind award of Arm Shields

I just picked up my first two arm shields, a Krim and a Kuban. This got me to thinking, prior to WWII, what was the historical precedent for the award of the arm shield?

As steeped in Germanic...

Any chance this is a real 57er bar

This is up on US Ebay from a seller called history1901. All his stuff looks like it comes from Germany. The ribbon bar is dirty but the medals look too new to be 50 years old.
