I agree and praise BenVK for having pointed out that two different hatters might as well have sourced the insignia from a single supplier, all the more within a multi-year time frame .

I too think the insignia's legit. BEVo/woben sleeve eagles in that darker hue (almost felgrau) can be observed as well. Yes, more pics of the cap needed.

You may want to check the printing technique and the ink as well . I'd expect a lighter shade on the outer side which is supposed to have been exposed to light and wear, not the other way round.
