While the damage near the markings was done intentionally, IMO, it is an original ordnance tan cleaning kit. Still rare.

IMO, it is impossible to know for sure what took place with this helmet. Some could be wartime paint, some post war, or all bad. Bolts replaced or swapped. Certainly not all era IMO.

A French coin from 1943 makes perfect sense. Both the 1st and 4th FJDs were in France before being sent to Italy as the 1st Fallschirm Korps in 1944.

You should organize a tour of the positions....

The 1.8 grams equals about 27 grains, so that make sense for a 6mm Flobert. I have seen "Gezogen" spelled out in a number of rifles as well. Always wondered how the "BUG"...
