I have to say that the chinstrap is a post war addition.

The chinstrap on this helmet is a typical example of an Austrian Gendarmerie...

I have seen these kind of pouches many times with a stamp GBA 1947.
They are austrian conversions for use by the Gendarmerie.

when I was a kid in the sixties and early seventies my late father used to own a used car dealership in Linz / Austria .
From time to time he had some Kübelwagens on his lot....
