Hard to tell without a 'hands on', but I think the odds are that your other
stein is 3rd Reich period. It does not have any of the immediate 'tell-tale' aspects of a repro.

Any 3rd Reich stein is suspect if the bottom of the handle is 'smushed' into the
body of the stein, that's something done as a cost cutting manufacturing process...
