Crappy pictures. In this day and age there is absolutely no reason not to be able to take detailed photos. :banghead:

Rajko,

It doesn't seem to be one of those one-looker fakes that we so often see. Try to get better pics. I think there's a possibility the blade is period.

Thank you guys. I am working to get pictures tomorrow. But again it will not be me, so I hope to get some better pics. Unfortunately someone sharpened the blade🙄

Interesting, not a "one looker fake" so far, I agree. Better pictures would be nice.

The vine & leaf borders are similar to numerous other etches on Hörster & WKC pieces but I believe ultimately the etch was done by Höller for those companies. I have some examples, not Luft daggers mind you, but one-off etches that have the same thing. Check Wayne's book for the company correlation.

So, we are all in agreement that we need better pics. And we are all very excited!!

Is it fair to point out that the furrel and the cross guard seem to of different metals? Actually I don't even know if thats part of the grip as I've never taken apart a 1st Model Luft before. All my Eickhorn examples share the same metals.

Secondly, we see that the buffer pad is missing. But if it were there, and the blade was seated firmly in the scabbard, is it me or would it appear it would rattle a bit.

Again, probably just the pics. Looking very forward to seeing the new ones.

Best wishes,

Mat J
