Hi, trying to find the service history of a man named ‘Leslie (or Lesley and Les for short) Reginald Garrett. Service number is ‘2158372.R.E.’ So Royal engineers. Lived in Bath and then post war moved to Bristol to work at Avonmouth docks with Hosegoods.

I also know he married a women named Marion. Pictures below of them both and also the smock.

I bought a original first pattern Denison smock of his Niece and would like to try and find his service history!

Any help appreciated!!!!

You could try contacting the Royal Engineers museum in Chatham and see if they can help

Sadly they’re not accepting any enquires until August 2020

British WW2 service records are not currently in the public domain. To get a copy of his service records you have to contact the Army Personnel Centre in Glasgow and either be NOK, have the NOK's consent or prove the individual has been dead for more than 25 years. See the link below.
