Hello Br. James:
Per the Ulric/Bender DE book (page 232), August Brunotte
died on 26.7.1934 and his name was awarded on 13.3.1939
to SA Gebirgsstandarte 26 (replacing the DE Feldback box).
Wondering what became of the old Feldback name DE box?

What was the asking price?
What did you offer for it?
What did it sell for?

August Brunotte (Todesrune.png 26.

Metapedia:
August Brunotte (Todesrune.png 26 July 1934 in Gleisdorf) was a German
resistance fighter against the Dollfu regime in Germany and a martyr of the
National Socialist movement, who lost his life during the so-called July coup.

Life

On July 26, 1934, the Austrian NSDAP rallied against the Dollfu regime at the
so-called July coup. In Gleisdorf around 2 pm National Socialists gathered in
the main square as well as in the streets. A gendarmerie patrol learned that
SA people were being armed in the yard of a department store. The gendarmes
went to the house, one positioned in front of it, the other penetrated into the
courtyard, where there were about 20 to 30 National Socialists. They were
asked by the gendarme with a broken carabiner to surrender. It came to a
shot change. In the process, the leader of the group, the SA leader August
Brunotte, was seriously injured by a shot because he died in the night on 26
July in the Graz State Hospital.

Default The DE set is for sale

I will get together with Bob this coming week and post more photos of the set. There is an interesting story about where and how the top and box were purchased
and yes the eagle and wreath are the best I have ever seen.
