Hello can anyone here translate Polish? This photo is of sentimental as well as historical interest. The woman and her daughter escaped Poland to Sweden in 1940. Her husband was serving on board the Polish passenger ship SS Pulaski which evaded capture when the Germans invaded. The family was not reunited until 1954. I have several photos from the daughter's (Hanna Maria Lesisz) estate and wanted to at least translate this one.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

13887 continued for Rick .....Ihr Sohn hatte am 24.3. den Befehl seine Batterie weiter nach Westen marschieren zu lassen. In Ausfuehrung dieses Befehls war er gegen 1100 zu meinem Gefechtsstand gekommen, um mir zu melden, dass ein Geschuetz der Batterie liegen geblieben sei, waehrend die uebrigen Geschuetze auf den March seien. Anschliessend fuhr er zurueck, um das letzte Geschuetz nachzuholen; um 1700 Uhr sollte er zurueck bei mir sein, um zu melden. Waehrend die anderedn Geschuetze heimkamen, blieb von dem Rest der Batterie jede Meldung aus. Am 25.3. nachmittags kam ein Mann von der Wagenbesatzung und meldete, dass Ihr Sohn gegen 1630 Uhr von der Bergung des Geschuetzes ------ gesehen ist. Da das Geschuetz nicht flott ----, uebergab er das Kommando an seinen Batterieoffizier und fuhr mit seiner Wagenbesatzung ueber die ---- ---- Rollbahn zu meinem Gefechtsstand in der Absicht mir zu melden und zweitens Abschleppmittel heranzuholen. Inzwischen war der ----- ueber die Rollbahn gestossen und ----- sie mit ---- ---- in deutscher Uniform, ab. Auf kuerzester Entfernung muesste er mit ---- des Feuers auf den herankommenden Wagen durch mehrere Kopfschuesse toedlich getroffen, brach Ihr Sohn zusammen, ohne leiden zu muessen, ist Ihr Sohn gestorben. Im tiefsten Mitgefuehl mit Ihnen, Ihres Sohns verehrter Gattin und Ihrer ganzen Familie gedenke ich als Kommandeur des Regiments und des ganzen Offizierkorps Ihres Sohns Hans, unseres lieben Kameraden. Ich habe Ihren Sohn als vorbildlichen Offizier und Kameraden kennen und schaetzen gelernt..........I'm out of energy to finish!
