Default Gold Hymen L/53 in Tombak

This one shows wear and the gold is very faint and thin. I thought it was silver when I bought it. When looking at the reverse and underside of the pin and hinge. There is a faint gold remaining.

Bob unfortunately this is not original WB.

Different markings and mark places exist of that fake, from unmarked to Codet...

If you zoom in on the L/53 you will see it is styled completely wrong like as if a robot formed it

Looks like one of those super heavy fakes. Does it feel substantially heavier that a regular SWB/GWB?

Hello Bob,

imo this is a good WB. This mm is not so often to find, only Tombak!

Hello,
put it out of the mistakes box! Found these thread today, the pictures are not very sharp but I see a original Hymmen Tombak WB, second Type with raised mm. You can not compare these badges with the Zink badges when look at the reverse, but the obverse is every time the same!
So please take sharp pictures of it and post them, maybe it was polished once but the badge is original!

I agree with Rene and Shaver; Bob's badge is a good Hymmen Tombak WB. Can't tell whether silver or gold grade, but it has the configuration of a Hymmen Tombak WB.

Best,
Greg

Thank you all for your assistance. I was somewhat shocked with the early news, considering the source if the badge. It is a gold grade with most of the finish remaining on the reverse.

Hi Bob

I also think this style and type are fine.

Here is one that I have, not as good condition as Greg's but I love the character when the tombak shows through.

regards
Graeme
